Entertaining Under the Big Top

There was no way we were going to be able to fit 100 people inside the house so we decided to set up outside.  We started with a boring white tent and transformed it into a mini-banquet ... and it was super easy and cheap!  We just used some tissue pom-poms and tulle.  Check it out!

Grab a Mimosa

My cousins bridal shower was a few weeks ago and I was in charge of the decorations and the mimosa bar.  SOO here is how the mimosa bar turned out.

Which house is the party at?

• Step 1: Pom Poms.  These are super cute and easy to make.  These are meant to be used as decorations inside but I decided to hang them from the lamppost outside to let people know which house the party was at.  Just follow the instructions on the box.  Link to buy below.

• Step 2: Ribbon.  I picked out some cute ribbon and tied it onto the pom poms.  All I had to do was tie this around the lamppost.  I staggered them so they didn't get bunched up.

Party Favors for a Cooking Themed Bridal Shower

I was trying to do these on a budget of $75 (for 24 guests) and still make them memorable (and useful).  Below is how I made that happen!

• Step 1: Order whisks and boxes

• Step 2: Pick out stamp and ribbon.  I was hoping to find a cooking related stamp but the heart was the best I could find.  You could also use the letter of the futures brides fiancées last name. The ribbon I picked went with the rest of the colors used at the party. 

• Step 3: Put a stamp on each box.  Do this before you compile the boxes.  

• Step 4: Compile boxes and fill them up with goodies!  I filled mine with the bride's favorite, Hershey Kisses.

• Step 5: Tie on the ribbon and whisk.  Put the whisk through the ribbon and then make a nice bow at the top of each box.
