Bachelorette Party Gift Bags

After a rough night out, this bag will be your best friend!  Perfect for a weekend away.

  • Step 1: The bag. This one was pretty easy.  Just get party bags, tissue and ribbon and compile the bags.  I got everything at Party City.
  • Step 2: The label.  This is a nice personal touch.  I made the image on my computer, printed , cut and pasted onto the front of the bag.
  • Step 3: The contents.  This is the fun part.  Since it was for the morning after I put a small toothbrush kit, Advil, mints, a bag of chips and some vitamin C packs.
  • Step 4: Hope that no one tags you in any pictures the next day!

Which house is the party at?

The party is this way! (final picture not available)

  • Step 2: Ribbon.  I picked out some cute ribbon and tied it onto the pom poms.  All I had to do was tie this around the lamppost.  I staggered them so they didn't get bunched up.

Bridal Shower Centerpiece

Looking for a cute, seasonal centerpiece?  Well check out the ones I used at a bridal shower and how to achieve the same look.

  • Step 2: Books.  The bride is a big fan of Martha Stewart so I used Martha Stewart cook books as the base.  For a baby shower you could use popular children's books.
  • Step 3: Flowers.  I threw this party in November so I wanted to use seasonal flowers.  I just brought the mugs to the flower shop and they took care of the rest.  I can't take credit for that arrangement!

Bridal Shower Party Favors

Party Favors for a Cooking Themed Bridal Shower

I was trying to do these on a budget of $75 (for 24 guests) and still make them memorable (and useful).  Below is how I made that happen!

  • Step 2: Pick out stamp and ribbon.  I was hoping to find a cooking related stamp but the heart was the best I could find.  You could also use the letter of the futures brides fiancĂ©es last name. The ribbon I picked went with the rest of the colors used at the party.
  • Step 3: Put a stamp on each box.  Do this before you compile the boxes.
  • Step 4: Compile boxes and fill them up with goodies!  I filled mine with the bride's favorite, Hershey Kisses.
  • Step 5: Tie on the ribbon and whisk.  Put the whisk through the ribbon and then make a nice bow at the top of each box.
Have a great time at your party!

Beer Cap Tray

Beer caps are fun, different and unique.  So, why not display them?  Here is how!

Below is a step by step tutorial on how to make this beer cap tray.  This would probably work with a coffee table as well.

  • Step 1: Start drinking :)  Try to take the caps off so there is not to much damage.
  • Step 2: Start with a naked wood tray.  They sell these at Michaels (very cheap).
  • Step 3: Paint or stain the tray.  I used a maroon paint on the bottom and a dark stain for everything else.  I had this left over from other projects, but this is where you can really customize your tray. So have fun with your colors!
  • Step 4: Once the paint is dry you can use a gloss/varnish to make it look nice and polished. Not the best picture below but it should give you an idea of the process.
  • Step 5: Once it is totally dry (probably a day or two) you can start gluing the caps down.  I suggest laying out out how you want it to look first. I chose to keep mine all different but you can easily make a pattern of a letter with the right color caps.  I used a wood glue (pictured below) from Michaels.
  • Step 6: Time to pour on what I call liquid glass.  It is actually a 2 Part Epoxy Resin (picture below), from Michaels.  When it dries it looks just like glass!  Follow the instructions on the box for mixing and application.  When pouring make sure not to pour too much at once. Make sure it covers all the caps with a little extra on top.  Also, to be safe I put painters tape over the holes on the side (this will keep excess from spilling over).  Keep the tape on until it is totally dry. You may also get a few air bubbles.  Just put a flame from a lighter over them and the heat will make them go away. The bubbles will happen in the first 20-30 minutes.

  • Step 7: Wait for the liquid glass to dry.  This is the tough part because it requires patience!  It will take about 2 days.  I suggest covering the tray with a box while it is drying so that debris does not get into the mix.
  • Step 8: ENJOY!  You are sure to get lots of compliments :)

Customized Champagne Flutes

Toss the permanent marker.  Check out this easy, affordable, and cute solution to make sure guests don’t forget which glass is theirs.
  • Step 1: Print out some cute patterns (customize for the occasion)
  • Step 2: Cut them the same size as the base of the champagne glass
  • Step 3: Place 2 small drops of hot glue on the pattern and place glass on top
  • Step 4: Have fun at your party!
Note: this will not ruin your glasses.  The paper and glue come right off!
